Right-click the file, choose Run as administrator, and follow the setup window.

Launch PowerPoint after setup finishes and select the new LOKAL ribbon tab.

Does LOKAL work on macOS or mobile devices?+
The presenter application and PowerPoint add-in require a Windows computer. Students can join activities from any modern mobile or desktop browser without installing an app.
Does installation require an internet connection?+
No. The all-in-one installer contains the LOKAL server, PowerPoint add-in, tray app, .NET Framework 4.8 installer, and VSTO runtime. Internet access is needed only for online-mode features and updates.
Why is the LOKAL tab missing after installation?+
Close every PowerPoint window before setup, run the installer as administrator, and open PowerPoint only after installation finishes. In PowerPoint, also check File → Options → Add-ins → COM Add-ins and confirm LOKAL is enabled.
Can an IT administrator deploy LOKAL with MSI packages?+
Yes. The project provides separate MSI packages for the server, PowerPoint add-in, and status tray app. Contact your LOKAL administrator for managed deployment files.
What if the download does not start?+
Try a different browser, disable any download accelerator temporarily, verify that enough disk space is available, and make sure your school network allows downloads from download.lokal.college.
